Salt Halted at Ningaloo!

For the last four years the Conservation Council of WA, Kailis and Recfishwest have been working together to fight a giant salt mine that would have devastated the eastern Exmouth Gulf and the prawn fisheries that depend on it.     • Shame isn’t it. Got a bit more coverage when an official announcement was made, but still nothing spectacular. Guess that is why it was done this way, neither the company nor our pro-development Government wanted a big fuss about a project leaving WA – regardless of how much environmental destruction it would have caused.
